Dr Collins was a surgical technician in the U.S. Navy and, at that time, decided he wanted to be a doctor. He attributes the support of his wife, parents and his mentor that helped get him to where he is today - practicing orthopedic medicine. He has special interests in hip, knee and shoulder joint replacement, reconstructive surgery and fracture care. Dr Collins volunteers as the medical director of a free clinic at his church and assistant leader for the Boy Scouts. He enjoys traveling, reading, driving his hot rod, astronomy and shooting sports. I like to approach medicine in a straight forward fashion. Humor and efficiency is the key to this approach.
